Is an LED light system recommended?
Yes, because even the best magnification can only develop under a high luminance. Especially in the area of the oral cavity, a targeted light source is of great importance. A shadow-free and homogeneous illumination of the treatment field cannot be produced by a light in the room or on the treatment unit. Our LED light systems can be regulated in intensity and precisely aligned. The use of a filter makes it possible to work with fast-curing resins despite the high light intensity.
We offer wired light systems with a large control unit (BaLEDO PowerLight²) or the completely wireless light (BaLEDO FreeLight²) with small and light batteries directly on the glasses. Our combination packages of magnifying glasses and light systems offer a wide and affordable choice.
Which magnifier system and magnification are right for me?
The right combination of magnification at the appropriate working distance is very important for good tolerability. Based on decades of experience, we will advise you safely and competently. Always with guarantee!
Low magnifications have advantages regarding spontaneous habituation, low total weight and large field of view. High magnifications allow an even more intensive detail recognition and have a sharp image up to the edge due to the design.
Galilean magnifiers are suitable for magnifications between 2.0- and 3.5-fold, higher system magnifications of 3.6- to 6.0- or even 8.0-fold require a magnifier system of Keplerian design. The field of view of the magnifying glasses depends on their magnification and the selected working distance. The appropriate system is determined together during the consultation, measurement and trial, depending on the application, requirements and experience.
Which magnifier system and magnification are right for me?

What measurements are needed for the manufacture of the loupe glasses?
Personal measurement parameters are required in order to manufacture individual loupe glasses in which the loupe systems are drilled through the lens (TTL systems). Thus, the pupil distance (PD) is measured, the viewing height in the spectacle frame is recorded and the distance between the spectacle frame and the eye (HSA) is also determined. Our optometry team specializes in determining all parameters and has many years of experience.
Can my visual acuity be incorporated into the magnifying glasses?
The correction of an individual refractive error in the spectacle frame of the loupe system is obligatory with us. The consideration of the current lens strength is a condition for an optimal system of eye, glasses and magnifier. This ensures that the focal point is actually at the selected distance (working distance). Our optometry experts will advise you comprehensively in this regard.
Which frame is suitable for the magnifying glasses?
There is a choice between the light and sturdy sports glasses frames, which have a high splash protection effect at the same time due to the curved glass surfaces (curved). Can I also purchase magnifying glasses from a conventional optician or retailer?

How much do magnifying glasses weigh?
The weight of magnifying glasses and light system depends on the design of the magnifiers, the frame, the lenses and the type of LED illumination. For example, our best seller, the BaLUPO in a titanium frame weighs only 45g. The lamp head of our wireless light has a weight of only 10g.
How much do magnifying glasses cost?
The price of magnifying glasses varies depending on the manufacturer, model and design. For students, we offer a separate catalog with deep discounts and special bestseller packages for magnifying glasses and light system. For beginners we offer e.g. our high quality BaLUPO 1 Sport from 690 Euro. All prices are plus 19% VAT. The total sum can be financed with us also interest-free. You can choose between 6, 12 or 24 monthly installments.

Yes, we offer an additional discount for orders of 20 students or more at the same time, amounting to another 100 Euros on top of the already strongly discounted prices.
